A range of unique styles of timber cabins and garages. All our buildings are produced at one of Sweden's premier manufacturing plants, utilising the latest machinery and highly skilled personnel. All the timber used to produce the components is sourced from Sweden's quality Redwood and Whitewood forests under the close scrutiny of certified forest control.
Our timber buildings can be custom built to your own specifications. We build everything from small units suitable for home offices, teenage retreats, utility rooms etc. to dwelling houses and larger buildings. The example shown here is of a custom built timber home. The use of recycled roof slates adds character and charm while the design takes full advantage of the beautiful rural setting. The price depends on design and specification, e.g. the level of electrical fittings, plumbing, etc. required. All buildings are constructed in accordance with current Building Regulations.

Planning Permission
Small Units such as Home Offices, Playrooms etc. do not usually require planning permission falling as they do into the category exempt from development. However larger buildings and dwellings may require planning permission depending on size and proposed use. Full details regarding planning permission may be obtained from your local county council offices.
GEORGIAN SUMMERHOUSE
The Summerhouse / Home Office is 4.8m x 3m in size and is made from Pressure Treated Delux timber.
The size includes a 1.2m verandah (interior 3.6m x 3m)
The building comes with Double French Door, 4 windows and is also fully insulated.

HOME OFFICE
Abwood Homes build to the customer’s own specifications. Our buildings are suitable for use as home offices, playrooms, residential use etc. We can suggest appropriate layouts to suit your requirements and site. We can supply and fit our buildings as basic “shells” for completion by the customer or we can offer the complete service including fitting all electrical and plumbing requirements.
Home Office
Size : 4.8m x 6 m in size Specification: Fully Insulated - Nordman Profile Roof - Double Glazed Wood Effect PVC Windows.
A similar building would cost approximately EUR15,000 depending on particular specification.
STUDIO
The Abwood Studio as seen on TV3’s morning programme is approximately 6m x 3.6m (20ft x 12ft) in size and is constructed of pressure treated maintenance free timber.
The interior of the studio is fully insulated with fibreglass and then lined with timber cladding. The roof is Nordman Profile, a tile effect coated steel sheeting with the appearance of traditional tiles. Nordman profile is an extremely strong maintenance free roofing material which does not discolour and is available in a range of colours. The colour of the Abwood Studio roof is red with black guttering.
The windows in the Abwood Studio are Georgian style, single glazed joinery windows each consisting of six panes.
The cost of the Abwood Homes Studio supplied and erected is approximately €13,200 plus VAT @ 13.5% exclusive of electrics. As all our buildings are built to order the exact price of any building is determined by your requirements i.e. Type of windows, doors etc.

GARAGES
Our Timber Garages are constructed using Pressure Treated maintenance free timber.
Abwood stables are constructed of 175x22 planed pressure treated maintenance free timber on a sturdy timber structure. The interior of the stable is lined with Sterlingboard / OSB board to roof height. The roof is galvanised steel box profile in a dark green colour with guttering fitted to the front of the stables. There is an overhang of approximately 1 metre to the front of the stable.
All hinges, bolts and hardware are made of galvanised steel and doors are fitted with a kick bolt.
The standard stable size is 3.6 metres x 3.6 metres (approx. 12ft x 12ft). Additional stables, tack rooms and feed storage units can easily be incorporated within the basic design.
